A few weeks ago, we headed out to the @uabotanicgarden for a field trip. We chose the sunniest nicest day to go and enjoyed sketching plants and flowers (we started the year with a @gatherroundhomeschool botany study), we had a picnic by a big beautiful tree, played card games and explored all that this beautiful place has to offer. I’m sharing a ground breaking, time saving, sani I’m sharing a ground breaking, time saving, sanity saving tip that is oh so simple! 🙌 This little tool takes *minutes* to implement and costs only a few dollars to put in place … drumroll please…. 🥁 “the spiral notebook” has entered our home and changed our homeschool days for the better! Here’s how it works: I take a few minutes to write the days tasks in each notebook and all 3 of my girls (from age 7 to 14) knows what is expected of them each day. Bonus: they also have the flexibility to self govern their time with this system and choose which tasks to complete first. Gone are the moments of asking what they should do when I’m not teaching them. If you don’t homeschool your kiddos this strategy would also work great when you are trying to implement new rhythms or get your kids involved with contributing to chores.
